I know you guys have been waiting for a long time. Heck, for us at times, it felt like it would never be finished... and it seems we hit every hole in the road on the way.
We would like to thank all of you out there who have offered your support both in word and deed over the last few months.
Gentlemen and lady of the GWX dev team and crew. It has been an HONOR working with you. For those of you who stayed through thick and thin... there aren't enough words to express my personal thanks to you.
You were at your best, when things were at their worst and you have become a real "crew" in the truest sense of the word.
Though we can never see what tomorrow brings... TODAY is your day.
Teamwork WON... against all trials and obstacles.
God Bless you all.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

Good Job Team GWX!!!
My thanks for the the consistently excellent job in making a good game great!
Without you, SH3 would have lost much of its shine long ago. As usual you manage to scrub off the barnacles and rust and breathe new life into one of the best subsims ever!
Also I would like to thank all the modders for pitching in and "enabling" us to personalize the game to our own needs.
Thank You all for your hard work!!! :D
PS.. And Thank You Koodawg fer my special order IXD2 skin, it looks awesome! Now if I can only survive long enough to buy an IXD2 and use it... :arrgh!:

The official torrent is 100% good, I can vouch for that
Can't say the same for the other stuff I've seen knocking around ;)
I'll keep it up for at least a month (probably a lot longer) to allow it to flourish on the official server :arrgh!:

I think we should have included a dedication to Abraham in the manual, but that's just me.
Otherwise, preparing for download process! If you're downloading, then get the hell out of the guy with the T1's way!
I can't even begin to thank you as much as you guys deserve. GWX was more then enough to turn SH3 into one of my favorite games ever, and I'm sure 2.0 will earn a perminant place on my computer once I get it.
In short, great job:rock:

I have to add my thanks to a job well done. You GWX team members REALLY go above and beyond the call of duty. I just want you to know how much your work is appreciated !
Well done Kapt. and Crew. I can only imagine the hard work put into it all, but I know you all have done a great job. Time for a well deserved rest I'd say. And if you all were here I'd buy the first round.
Now if I can find the time I'll get back into SHIII again.

I have to admit, I tried Flashget, but I wasn't sure if I'd downloaded GWX correctly - it had downloaded 6mb after half an hour(does that seem ok?) and I didn't want to wait the time it took to get 1.19gb to see if it was ok

As one of the early downloaders, I have downloaded the bit torrent file, and am adding myself to the torrent peers(?) to assist with the download load .
Thanks Jim. I only wish I'd had the time to help with 2.0. But sadly that wasn't the case seeing we moved and all the work that had to be done before and after.
Like I said...get some friggin rest now and PLAY SHIII/GWX2.0 for a change. :yep: :rotfl: After the holidays I hope I can get back into it again.....with 2.0
BTW..... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone . That's if I don't get the chance to get back on the forums before they're upon us.

:D
GWX came just in time to give the allied forces again a very bad '39
As soon as all files are on my disk (I expect somewhere around tuesday) I will install and immediately start a new career!
I'M SO EXCITED TO DISCOVER ALL THE NEW STUFF :yep:
I wasn't able to donate and get GWX 2.0 in the first run because my boys needed new shoes and winter clothing and financial resources aren't excatly abundant these days.
Finally it is available as freeware and I can't wait to discover what's new.....
Before I dive into this game again, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude tot Kpt Lehmann and everyone who contributed to GWX in any way.
Thanks for keeping SHIII alive!

Many, many thanks from me too!:up::up:
My install was not quite as instructed, even though I have a totally new computer. SH3 went on fresh, followed by GWX and other bits like SH3Cmdr. As I loaded the game I realised I had copied some of my old 'My Documents' folder from my previous PC, including the SH3 bits. Guess what, my old careers showed up. Just to see what happened I loaded up my most recent, in port before my 12th patrol in U47. It worked fine and I'm now out at BF17 as ordered. Will something go terribly wrong or should I continue?
What with a new Core2Duo E6750 and a 8800GT GPU, things sure look good apart from an occasional black flicker of a box or something on the horizon - still trying settings though.
Anyway, great work everyone on the team! :yep::yep::yep:
To the GWX team ... Thank You very much for all your efforts and hard work.
I'm downloading the files now. Can't wait to install it and play it. Thank you very much.

utorrent sent me the following message "Error! Port 61875 does not appear to be open."
Help please!!!
Are you using windows firewall? (XP)
If so you can use the control panel \ windows firewall \ exceptions \ add program and browse to the location of utorrent .exe and tell windows to allow it. Also If you're using a router, you might need to tell it to enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) - in some cases it is off by default. You could always try port forwarding (if you use a router) but that's loads of grief.
Either way, try to let your firewall (whatever it may be) grant access to utorrent.

how do I make exceptions for Norton Internet Security firewall as I don't use window's?

Alright, Norton is now allowing utorrent, bit it is still extremely slow (0.5 kb/s). What else can I do as I'm still getting the same port error message? Does this have anything to do with the fact that my internet is provided through my college campus?

That may well be the case. I know some halls of residence here in the UK block certain ports or limit the traffic speed accross their network. You might be out of luck :-?

Thank you to the whole GWX team. Your hardwork is very much appreciated. I'm sure there's a lesson for UBI to learn from here; great job and dedication done by those for a love of the game and not for greed.
Already started a campaign, leaving Wilhelmshaven in Sep. 39 and have been assigned to patrol Rockall Bank. Time to deposit a few torpedos in The Bank; British won't be happy about that, but, what the hey. I'm taking my own sweet time leaving port to enjoy all that 2.0 offers. Thanks again!

Just got everything up and running and thanks to your simple installation instructions, I didn't run into a single snag.
MANY thanks to the GWX team! Your selfless efforts are not nearly as celebrated as they should be. Excellent work on 2.0!!!
