View Full Version : Fincuan's Easy to Use Manual TDC Tutorial
Hi, for those like me who have battled with the Torpedo School mission or still doing so this may be the answer, It certainly got me through, so I thought I'd pack Fincuan's Manual Targeting guide into a standard wordpad document including pictures. The file is 5 meg and can be downloaded here:

clayp: make sure to check out WernerSobe's excellent video tutorials too, found here (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=677410&postcount=82). Explains what each gauge does in a very straightforward way.

Clayp, I would suggest playing around with WernerSobe's Natural Sinking Mechanics test mission with a plethora of stationary ships to begin with. Begin by just concentrating on knowing which direction your torpedoes will go. Believe it or not, that was the first stop in developing the techniques for the Dick O'Kane method. Practice from a sub at all stop to begin with. Later use a moving sub with the position keeper activated. What you are seeking is a clear overall vision of how the targeting process works. Then the details will become automatic.
Once you can hit stationary ships from all angles, you can graduate to a test mission with actual moving ships. You'll find it will be much easier now that you have familiarized yourself with the equipment on simpler prey.
