Hello everyone.
I am in dire need of help.
I downloaded TM 1.7.2, RSRD for 1.7.2, ROW mods for 1.4 and prepared for a clean install. I accidentally deleted the game partially. Before realising my mistake, stopped and tried to uninstall and after uninstall I introduced the dvd and nothing, the install button does not work, only PLAY and and others. :damn: I tried on my laptop and it works.:D
What can I do?

What can I do?
Clean windows registry to get rid of all references to Silent Hunter 4. A good free reg cleaner is ccleaner. I've used Registry Mechanic and Ccleaner, both will clean out SH4 and allow you to reintall.

Here I am to save the day! It's your Lucky Day, Mate!
I had the same exact problem beginnning the day of the 1.4 release. It took me 8 days to work through a hundred possible solutions and re-installs and uninstalls and total frustration and following LOTS of advice on these forums...to no avail.
Anyway, here's what you do...guaranteed (Well, I can't really say that...take your risk, of course):
1. On your C"\ drive, delete manually all your SH4 folders and files, including the SH4 folder in your Desktop\Documents folder.
[[Needless to say, before you delete your SH4 files, backup any of your stuff like MOD folders/files...Sound\Gramaphone files/music, etc. You can then simply place those back into your SH4 once you are up and running again after a fresh install]] Personally, I also deleted all JSGME folders/files at the same time.
2. Backup a copy of your "regedit" file (located in your C:\windows\ root directory.
3. Then, Run regedit.exe [Note: If the registry "Cleaning" APP's recommended by LuckyMother above work, you won't need to do the following of course. But this is what is going on behind the scenes, and I wasn't comfortable trusting the CCleaner App...so I did it manually as described below:]
In the Registry, go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall{{0D005F09-A5F4-473B-A901-5735C6AF5628} key.
Delete that file/folder highlighted in blue below(along with all its sub-files) Disregard my red hilites...those were for another subject:

4. You can also, in addition, go to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ubisoft and delete all the folder(s) shown below...you will have one or two or, (as in my case, shown below), three. These don't seem to have any direct effect, but you can do without them. I'd say get rid of them. I did.

5. Exit/close Regedit.
6. Re-boot your 'Puter.
7. Install SH4 1.0 from your DVD.
I'd reboot again just for the heck of it.
8. Download and install the Patch 1.4.
9. Reboot the PC.
10. Download/reinstall JSGME. Do the setup, being sure to include taking the "Snapshot" of your clean install.
11. Copy over all your backed up Mod folders into the Silent Hunter\MODS folder.
12. Decide which MODs you want to enable and do so via JSGME. Caution: be certain of 1.4 compatibility of any Mod...Follow the approriate threads on those matters here in the forums. I have no idea about the status of TM compatibility issues.
Good Luck
Thanks alot, mate
Will try tomorrow morning
Before trying to manually delete the entries, download CCleaner , run it and have it remove all the entries it finds. If SH4 still won't install you can folloe Dolittle's advice being aware of the following
While the above advice is ok, the install code can vary from machine to machine the {{0D005F09-A5F4-473B-A901-5735C6AF5628}
It's best to delete the folders he mentioned, then do a search in regedit for silent hunter.
Start at the My Computer location. It will search and open the first key it reaches. If you have SH3 be sure you only delete the SH4 entries.
Anyway, hit delete key on your keyboard to delete the registry key and then confirm when it askes you if you want to.
Then hit F3 and it will take you straignt to the next entry for SH4.
You can do a search on ubisoft afterwards to see if anything with SH4 shows up after the first search. Delete any SH4 entries that show up on this search too.

I did not see it mention so here it is:
In your MY DOCUMENTS folder you will find a SH4 folder. Contains game saves and other things. Delete this also. It may not be the cause of your troubles but a clean install means a clean install. Dump that old folder also. It has been known to cause troubles on fresh installs.
