Hi, I always use JSGME for mods. I do the snapshot of the game and then do my mods.

Tonight I'm putting on the new patch so I use it to disable all my mods then I compare to the snapshot and there are a lot of files listed as changed.

Not knowing what to do I uninstalled the game, erased the folder then reinstalled the game. This takes a lot of time. I thought that the JSGME would put the game back to stock form after disabling mods? Was it really necessary to reinstall the game or just a waste of time.

You wouldn't happen to remember what files it listed as changed? For example screenshots are always listed there. Once I also renamed sh4.exe to fear.exe hoping to get crossfire working, then started the game, ran it for while, exited the game and renamed the exe back to original. After this JSGME report EVERY gamefile as modified :)

Did you uninstall the mods with JSGME in the reverse order they were installed? If not, you will end up with a different set of files than a clean installation.

To disable all the mods I just hit the disable all button. I guess I need to do each one in reverse order?

I don't remember the files changed there was just a huge list so I reinstalled the game. I don't take screenshots at all so there shouldn't be any there.

Cheers

I just tried disabling each mod in reverse order and it works alright now. Before I just used the disable all button and it didn't work the same.

I'm all set now.
