Video Card Error Message

Sounds like a reasonably good sim that I would like to try. But it seems that my card is not compatable with Shader 2.0 It is a Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4600, 128 mb with installed drive type NV4-disp.dll, version 6.14.10.9371 (newly downloaded). This has been a good card that has served me well although it is now 3-4 years old.

Nvidia forums hint at shader problems with many of their cards even though they are listed as shader compatable. Any suggestions? If not I am out $20 as the download fee is not refundable and a refund was denied.

I tried it on another computer with another video card but it was Win 98 which is not acceptable.

Time for a new graphics card. Are you able to play SH4 with that?

Neal, thanks for all your efforts and your reply. Can I play IV? I don't know as that is the first sub sim I have not purchased in 10-12 years. Guess I am kind of gamed out and was disappointed with the last several sims too.

Yeah you deffintely need a new card, you might be able to get a geforce6 for a reasonable price unless you have the money to go for the top of the line stuff.

Well, I didn't help you much but you may want to look into a new card. I bought an ATI last March for $90 or so and it has kept me limping along :)
