Isn't this game difficult enough? LOL

Oberleutnant Hoffmann, of my current command U-30, is soon to meet his watery end. After sinking the Nelson recently I think he is going to be given some 'special' assignments from Berlin which might mean him not returning. The Wilhelmshaven Evening Gazzette will keep you updated (shameless plug) - http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=125711

So in a week or so I'm going to wipe this install and rig for a multi install. I've been gradually increasing the realism settings and I think I'm almost ready for a campaign that's more faithfull to the way Uboats actually operated, rather than patrolling a grid for a day and then doing whatever you liked.

So, really, I'd like to hear of ways that you all make your campaigns more realistic - such as using dice to determine variables, or mods that you think are particularly good for creating more lifelike scenarios such as the sabotage and malfunctions setting, or little rules that you apply in your head for deciding patrols or actions, etc. Anything at all that you do to try and recreate a little of the WWII environment.

The reason for the multi install is I want, as well as the campaign I'm discussing here, to have a more 'creative' career as well http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=711255#post711255- still with high realism settings on the game but seeing a lot more of the world! And maybe another one with the Uberboot which looks interesting. Then I can choose a career depending on how I'm feeling. Basically, because I've loved the game in the short time I've played it, I want to increase the longevity as much as I can.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I'm hoping for a good response, so all of you post away!

P.S. I'd like to keep playing GWX

I know that with alot of the GWX mods that you can add thing such as sabotage and weather mods, which operate on a random variable axis. That should extend the life of this game.

Using MultiSH3 isn't all that hard to gear up. It's the install & folder copies that chew a little time. I have two Commander installs as well (copied program files folder), one just for GWX. I can post the shortcut target lines when your ready if it'll help.

Very helpful, mate. Thanks. I'll get back to you on that.

Do you use SH3 Commander too?
