on my third patrol, 64% realism. GWX 1.3
i have manual targeting (only do it on stationary ships.) off, external views, and a couple others.

on my way up the english coast (i follow the coasts to reap as much as possible from the coastal traffic.)
i came across a task force leaving inverness
3 fiji cruisers, and im guessing about 6 destroyers. cant remeber exactly.

i torp 2 cruisers with two-torp spreads...leaves them both immobilised.
finding a touch of patience, i wait until the escorts leave
nobodys picking up survivors i guess
i swing around, and finish the fist with shots to the boilers and the ammo hold (no catastrophically large explosions:cry: )
and i swing around and finish the other likewise.
i surfaced, and exited the patrol, im not gonna try and push my luck, but i ended up sinking about 25000 on that one.
slowly but surely...

You have shown the right spirit of an Uboot captain.

Here, here. Good attack on the task force, and avoiding their escorts is tricky business after you sink the vaulable ships.

I wonder if they were carying more precious cargo...so much so that they decided it was best to leave their comrades behind than risk losing it!

I am glad to see that the Kriegsmarine does not operate under such an impetus!
