I'm also confused...what is the question that's being asked?

Personally I think it would be nice to be able to have engine control per shaft. At least then you could turn domewhat if your rudder was destoyed.

I could be wrong here but I think the intent is to convey the message that, if UbiSoft plans to charge for the Add-on, then some people feel they would like some things included in it.

Me, too. what >IS THE QUESTION?< you are asking? NOTHING in the original post makes sense.

These polls are getting well beyond annoying and distract reading the forums in a great way. This one is a PRIME example of annoyance.

You mean like left and right screw control? Or engines that don't all go dead at once? Or the fact that you can repair all the engines and still not move?

Yeah, count me in for all of the above. :D

I voted Other.... While I like the idea of seperate engine control, it really isn't a HUGE deal to me since its functionality would be limited (unless they changed things to do stuff like add shaft squeaks when damaged, etc...). The other I mean is a fix to the damage control system. As many know - the internal and external damage models are interconnected WAY too heavily, and this is something that requires changing code. So I vote to have these models seperated a bit more - possibly even having the seperate damage models more mod-able.

I would trade separate engine controls for being able to type in a heading any day. Clicking that dial only to hear your off by one degree 3 times gets to me.

The separate screw control is important from an RTB with damage standpoint. If you lose the rudder, you are dead, end of carrer. Related is the current damage model where it seems like if you lose one enginr, you lose 2, and only 2 matter. You can have 2 destroyed, and 2 at 100%, never damaged at all---and you are dead in the water.

Something needs fixing. Or was the engine damage fixed in 1.4?

I'm with you Donut on all of the above and would pay.

Also, Truk is looking better but could still be improved ...and, the 'realistic' battery life would be nice too ;-)

Tater,

I lost a prop shaft and made it home on just one screw, (with v1.4) so I don't know if they have reworked the damage models or whether it is a lost engine that completely cripples your boat.

What there looking for is individual control port / starbord shafts in the case of a busted rudder to give the boat control over its course.

Thanks for the clarification Steamwake. That is a frustrating issue in this sim.
