Holy smokes, played since 2005, and never sailed a XXI... this afternoon, just above the whaling station North of England, I sank 4 Boque's in a row

I missed one taskforce, then, just as I was resuming course, another one came along. Either the DD's around belonged to the first group or they left this 4 carrier-group to themselves. Big mistake :yep:

With GWX 2.0 on the rise, I thought let's do a XXI campaign from Bergen... my timing is

It's april 5th 1944, and we are on our merry way to AM49. Morale is high :smug:

4 carriers sunk will not turn the tide of the war.

It'll certainly turn the tide of the DD's attention to you though :p

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Touche! Yeah I wouldn't like to guess how many *shudder* Black Sawns (might as well be called Black Death!!!) are escorting that task force...hedgehogs are your worst nightmare!

When I saw the thread title I thought you meant Illustrious class Fleet carriers lol...my initial thoughts were "Lucky [censored]!!!!" lol nice job though.

Ditto...although i have been tracked and depth charged by 5 DD...does that constitute a "convoy"

Sounds like a Hunter Killer task force, I see them east of Scapa Flow a lot.

Congrats on the sinkings!

Those Bogue Kunter/Killer groups are the work of the devil. I carry T2 electrics and getting within 3km to shoot one is asking for big trouble.
The destroyer escorts that follow them wont be leaving anytime soon after you sink the carrier, and they are real good at their job.
Good hunting!

Boy you really must of had some good luck on your side, four carriers in one patrol the biggest ships I've sunk where the HMS Nelson and the flagship of the Royal Navy the NMS Hood. I have seen a couple of task forces and hunter killer groups but never an aircraft carrier before, except this one time in Scapa Flow, sadly I didn't sink it:damn: .
