Damage taken by hulls submarine is shown in the damage interface?

what is that supposed to do i havent noticed anything different
can somone point me to it

In the upper left hand corner it will show HULL and a number. It is located on the damage control screen.

I like the new damage screen, its is more specific, but can be over-taxing in a firefight...still cool though

I'm not sure the indicator is working properly. I got hammered by DCs to where I lost two bulkheads,had to porpoise my boat to keep from going below crush depth from the flooding yet the hull damage percentage meter still showed 0% damage.
