Hi all!

I've been away for a while to say the least but have recently built a new rig and am in the process of re-installing this great game but am totally lost as far as what mods would be the best to install. Much has changed and I don't know where to begin. Would anyone be willing to tell me what mods would be best as well as radio stations and the like. I know there must be gobbs but if you could lead me with some must haves I would be indebted forever to you all.

Thanks and happy hunting:up:

Right now the mod situation is "wait and see". Most major ones are undergoing adaptation to 1.4 at the moment - typical thing to happen two days after a patch release!

Thank you CCIP. I will await further developments.

Some mods seem to be operational but not proven - such as ROW which is the #1 visual mod you must try.

Dear Sir:

Just install the new 1.4 patch that came out this past Tuesday, 11/27/2007. Game is awesome without the mods. From there (12/2007) or so - date is a wild guess, ask again, and ALL these NICE folks at subsim.com will bend over backwards to help you again and again. - twice I am sure - And to help you with your future questions.

Welcome back to SubSim. You have ONE thing to do:
Enjoy the game and enjoy these wonderful forums. They are ALL great - the game [SH4] with the 1.4 patch and these forums is like dieing and going to heaven after you die in the game. Both, the game and the subsim forums are a nice place to visit after your sub sinks and you go to heaven. :)

Have fun doing both - playing the game, and reading the forums.

ENJOY! the game and all of subsims forums.

I personally use (and will continue once 1.4 compatible)

Trigger Maru - A good compilation, contains many things to improve your game.

ROW - You'll understand when you install it properly. STUNNING!

Captain Cox CBS News mod (should work with 1.4) - It gives my crew something to listen to.
