Welcome aboard!

I think patch 1.3 came with a no-disc fix. Everybody is using it.

As SS mentioned, this has been the case since 1.3, its a nice bonus for sure :yep:

I have the download version have have NEVER had to use a disk for the game.

you shouldnt need to use your disc...as they already have said they removed the disc checking in 1.3. try making a reinstall and apply the 1.4 patch...

Ooooh that is sweet! I have been playing for ages, each time loading up my DVD and listening to it whirring away. No longer! On my proud beauties, there's ships to be sunk!!

I just installed SH4 and immediately patched to 1.4 The no-DVD is funny since SH3 had star*** or whatever. Personally I hate having to play with the disk in the drive just because I am lazy and do not like having to rumage around and look for it but the desktop icon is there for a reason IMHO
