This is exactly what I don't want on my DVD. It's not too big a deal for me though since I'll just rip it apart, and remux my custom made DVD.

The more that i think about it, this could save me money!

I guess they don't get it when we buy PVR's just to bypass the damn commercials!

I don't mind advertising. It is a neccesary evil to sell peoples product. I do mind however the shear quantity of it! Its just too much!

I feel an ancient primitive craving for blood and cracking open some heads for this.

If this gets through, it is my argument to stop buying DVDs, no matter what kind - in the end, it is entertainment only. It is not really needed. Cannot remember to have bought any new game release this whole year, and i think it will possibly will not be different net year.

and my movie archive - counts over 250 VHS cassettes, so what need for DVDs do I have?

I allways use scene selection & select first one, this passes all the crap and goes straight to the movie!:yep:

If the price goes down I won't mind.

BUT!

If the price goes down I can see it rising again quickly once we are used to the adds.

Many of you folks are too young to remember that the same pitch was made for cable TV. "Pay a monthly fee and your TV will be commercial free"...

Look how long that lasted.

Don't worry too much.

If it doesn't make a profit, it won't happen.

I don't think it will.
