Do You Get Points for Contact Reports?

I was wondering this after I had a run in with a convoy but forgot to make a contact report to Bdu. Did I miss out on any extra renown points?

No the contact reports in the game do not give you any renown or reward whatsoever.

During september 2007 there was a monthly competition with Operation Spinnennetz where you could send in contact reports and score points doing so, the score based on the grid you were reporting from.
If there is enough demand we could organize such a thing again.

It more for realism than gettin renown. If your lucky Herr Goering may send out some aircraft to intercept..... (If your in range of Luftwaffe bases.)
