Type XXI is never available for me

I am in Feb. 1945 at Bergen, Norway and still using IXC U-boat.

I have prrobably misconfigured some files in SHIII.

I hope someone can guide me how to get the XXI?

My first hint is

*) check your renown, is it enough?
*) check your fleet, is a XXI ever available in this fleet? Your location "Bergen" is not so much important, it is the fleet that counts

Do you play vanilla or with mods? Some mods alter the setting of
which sub - when - in which fleet

probably the sub could be available only in time for one patrol or two.

i will mod my game for have XXI type in spring summer of 1944 :hmm:

You can get one without modding in 1944 if you're in the right flotilla. Go to the SH Wikipedia to find the correct one(s).

My current renown is 35,007.50. And I am playing the standard SHIII, without GWX or smilars like NYGM.

I am now at the 7th Flotilla. The BdU also refuses to transfer me to Flensburg.

With 0% realism and backup option (the mother of Informatics) it took time but was so not so risky, :lol: !

I agree with you gimpy11, the BdU may think I am not cool with so many cheating I did, but it does still not solve my problem, :arrgh!: .

You can get the XXI when you are in the 11th flotilla.

As far as I remember, even in vanilla SH3 it was only the 11th fleet to receive type XXI.
Your renown should be enough.

Thank you very very much Fusek and U49. I was able to get my XXI at the 11th Flotilla and went back some missions, and got the XXI at the 11th Flotilla at Bergen at August, 28th 1944.

I will wait for GWX 2.0, in order to install the mods of OLC too.

I have already downloaded the "OLC GUI Video Tutorial" seems also wonderful.
