Maybe she just walked away with a big smile on her face or probably a very little fine. Possible reason: She's a woman and all..you know. She must be having a bad day.
Listen to her crying voice during her video testimony. It was surely an award-winning performace enough to melt someone's heart (*cough* Feminists *cough*..where are their statements related to this case by the way)
Damn! in these days, a woman can accuse anyone of rape. Her tears will add up some spices...and bicycle case judges will buy her word against you if you got nothing to defend yourself.

Worrying :hmm:
What is worrying is the ridiculously low number of rape convictions. No doubt such false allegations sometimes happen, which is why we have courts. But the sentiments behind the original post is nothing more than simple down home misogyny.

Those police dashboard cams are a great tool.
I bet she was after a monetary settlement. People have no idea how accusations alone can ruin lives.

Rape is an incredibly serious, but people like that piss me off. ****ing over cops over a traffic violation.

Then you get the vivious circle where people then don't believe a woman when she says she has been raped, especially if these false accusations get a high profile.
then again I know a girl who was raped by a house mate who also happened to be black, a foreign student from Kenya with a child, after the attack she didn't wash and kept all her clothes so there was tons of forensic evidence and her two flat mates, both male backed her story that she hadn't led him on. What was the result, he got off scot free, the police were hopping mad as they had all the forensics. They think it was because she was an attractive middle class girl and the guy was a single black father with the jury being made up of how could we say, people who might be biased against girls like her.

I suspect the cop could now in turn go after her for defamation of character?

Second thought on it, he really should. Apparantley this woman does not realize that his career could be jeapardized to the point that he could be digging ditches the rest of his life.

I doubt it. Thanks to the video his reputation is intact, but hers is toast.
She can be charged, but sued? I dunno. :hmm:

In the UK, the bare minimum offence would be 'wasting police time'....punishable by a hefty fine, or in more serious allegations, up to 2 years imprisonment http://imgcash1.imageshack.us/img152/5258/policetj6.gif
Good idea. Make her pay for the hours the police had to spend investigating/listening to her BS. And then tack on the "false police report".
This is one of those things that really pisses me off. I wish there were tougher laws in place for persons who make false rap claims. Not only can a false claim destroy ones career and life but it it also hurts true victims of rape and is one reason why it is so hard to prosecute rape crimes. What a selfish little b****.

Could be Palm Beach PD is notorious for pulling vehicles that don't belong, not to mention profiling. But considering there is not a single property on the island that sells for less than a mill $ thats what the residents pay for, security and privicy.

I HAVE to believe that, because the alternative is that she simply wanted to destroy this guy's life because he issued her a citation. That is just too cruel for me to stomach.
