Okay, so I'm finally getting around to building this kit, it has a few errors on it which need correcting, but the biggest problem is the screw, which is rather crude in the kit, so the question is: Anyone know where I can get a suitable replacement etched one for it? I'm prepared to modify one that is a reasonably close match if there isn't a direct replacement, it's 1:350 scale.

I just got this kit (along with the Typhoon). If you're looking for photoetch blades, flagship models ( www.flagshipmodels.com (http://www.flagshipmodels.com) ) makes a set for 1/350 scale modern subs. The set includes eight 7-blade screws (in two different sizes) and four 6-bladed screws.

Hope this helps!

Yup, they look close enough to tweek into the right type, just ordered a set. Thanks for the help Bill, I was dreading having to make one, the one in the kit is terrible judging by the shots in Wayne Frey's book:rotfl:
