Hello all, :|\\

I just wanted you to know that I emailed Strategy First and told them to produce a patch which at bare, bare minimum gives us a "Save" option in game.

Guess what folks, WE gotta bitch about these things!
I hope this get's more patch work than Red Baron 3d, Remember THAT? :o

Good, I encourage that!

However I'm not very optimistic that we'll get much support for this game. I could be wrong, but given how it seems to be a low-priority product... :-?

I imagine you would have to email either Rondomedia or Ubisoft, as I seem to recall that Rondomedia was the budget subsidiary of Ubisoft, not sure if it still is.

Which leads me to suspect that DSdZ might originally have been considered for Ubi as a release but then switched to Rondomedia when they pulled the development plug on it, since RM was the 'budget' arm of Ubisoft. Which might explain its somewhat rough edges, release on Rondomedia, and inherent potential as a sim that looks like it was intended to include much more than the actual release version has (probably including a save feature in amongst that).

As far as I know it only had a dev team of two people, so there's probably not much chance of a patch, but you never know, there is the possibility that making it known that a patch is on the way could increase sales, and it is apparent that our efforts to get a Subsim forum going for it, and informing people that it is actually quite a good sim under the rough edges, has certainly brought about a few sales in recent days.
