My first command a type VII

First time playing GWX and got command of a type VII, so I thought the type II was not available anymore but now I read on the forum it is available. Did I miss to make a selection prior to starting a new carrer or something?

Do you use SH3Cmdr? If you do you can chose the boat you will command. Also the Flotilla is important. Early in the war (1939) only the First has Type IIs so you must join them if you want to have one.
