I was thinking of buying this addon but thought i'd ask if it is worthwhile. The new planes certainly look good as my favorite modern fighter is the Hornet but i'd need a bit more motivation than just the new aircraft to buy this thing right now.

Should I wait for the price to drop or is it worth top dollar?

Well personally I have had a lot of fun with it. The new missions are a blast, especially the aircraft carrier ones. Me and my friends have also enjoyed the new racing additions, like air racing in Reno and such.
The new aircraft look very nice and are fun to fly too. My only real major complaint is that the new aircraft are lacking 2D panels, which isn't a big deal if you fly with the VC, but I would still like to seem them.

Anyways, I think its a good expansion for the price and worth it.

No 2d panels?

I guess you could add some custom ones from user created aircraft but that's pretty slack to not feature them. I use VC but at times I use the 2d panels for quick adjustments.

Yeah, sometimes I like to use the 2D panels too, and I was really surprised when I saw nothing there. I feel like they at least should have been included, maybe ACES had their reasons though.
