I can't believe he did this again and survived.

Jail for nailgun attack faker
A father has been jailed for shooting himself in the chest with a nailgun - so he could claim compensation.
David Russell, 38, said he was left unable to work and struggling to provide for his six-month-old son after being shot seven times by a gang in the street on August 11.
However, police became suspicious of his account of the attack and the telephone engineer from Gloucester later admitted wounding himself with the power tool.
Russell, who pleaded guilty to two charges of perverting the course of justice, was sentenced by Judge Martin Picton at Gloucester Crown Court to two-and-a-half years in prison.

After accidentally cutting his hand off on a circular saw a man attempted suicide by
shooting him self 4 times in the head with a nail gun.

When he was found by a work college he was still conscious.

The nails where removed with no apparent brain damage and his hand was reattached.

I got to hand it to him, the attempt to kill himself was a no brainer!:D

There where plans to introduce a minimum size for nail guns in the UK.
For the same reason rifles and shotguns have a minimum length here.

"said he was left unable to work and struggling to provide for his six-month-old son"

to him , his son is more important then his life.... he did what he hoped(unfortunately it didnt work out) was his best bet in getting money to be able to feed and clothe his son.... they should have never sent him to prison and seperate him from his 6 month old son for 2.5 years.. :nope::nope:

Not handing out justice on a fair and consistent basis in regards to peopl ewho have small children is dangerous territory. Besides, how are you so sure that the scenario isnt that he puts the money in his pocket above all else, and his young son is merely a scapegoat?
