I am running stock latest version of GWX and SH3.. so far I luv them both.

I wanted to add the ConnTower fix and a few camo skins and the less bouyancy thing.

So I installed the latest and greatest version of GME.

I run GME and it shows all mods enabled. So I just close it and Im done?? I dont have to leave it running behind GWX?

Anyways that being said I reloaded a mission I had already started via SH3 and I see no uber camo skin on my sub. :-?

I looked the noob sticky over a few times and didnt see anything..maybe I missed it..

Will I have to return to base and start a new patrol for these mods to take effect? Or a new career? :o

I hope not. Ill have to wait til the wars over then.. cause I had a nice start with my Rodney kill.

You don't need to leave it running, after you have enabled the mods you can close out JSGME, forgot to answer this in my first post.

Stupid question maybe , but you are anabling the right skin for the right sub, just want to be clear.

Also, JSGME is where it should be, the VISTA question was asked because with it you need to install JSGME outside the root folder, actually not anywhere in the Program Files.

This may be it ^^^. You may have to be in port as well, which would be tough given your current situation.

Depending on where you got the skin, maybe post it on that thread. Or if you don't get a better response here, start a new thread later on being a little more specific with your title.

Never used any from there, for my SH3 days, I used mainly fubar's stuff :yep:
When you are extracting them to the mods folder are they set up to follow the correct file path. Mod Name\data\...etc, etc.

The Tommies will never see you coming! :arrgh!:

My Mod folders are appearing in my root directory after I enable them..well just these skin ones.. but they work...so I'll just leave it alone...

I run SH3, GWX on a Vista machine and my JSGME is in the SH3 folder in program files and runs perfectly well

The important thing with Vista is, do not install older programs (i.e. every program that is not developed for Vista), in the "Program Files" folder. Use a folder called "MyPrograms", for instance, instead. This will prevent Vista from copying your Program Files to the hidden "Virtual Store" and executing them from there.

That was one of the reasons why I banned Vista from my HDs. I stepped back to XPProSP2 so far the best M$OS in my opinion.

And watching the news carefully, I recognized that I am not alone with this opinion. Many IT specialists share it.
