Allright, i've recently decided to increase the difficulty level in GWX and have started a new carreer with only the external cam enabled to allow me to see all the '' eye-candy ''. That level off difficulty settings in GWX is a first for me.

U-94 has now returned from only it's second patrol and allthough it now only is late 1940 i've enjoyed the increased challenge more then ever and felt like sharing it.

In het assigned patrol grid U-94 made contact with an English convoy. It managed to sank 5 ships from it, which included 3 large tankers. Giving chase to the convoy, making contact with it again after a night time hunt, whereby the outer escorts were barely avoided from time to time, and finally having sunk the biggest targets she set course for home, low on fuel and with only 3 stern torpedo's left.

During the trip home i came across a Tribal DD and a coastal tanker travelling together. With 1 of the torpedos i hit the Tribal DD which then attempted to engage U-94 but the damage done to it was too great and it finally came to a halt. Low in the water and now seemingly helpless i came around to set up another shot on her during which i let her sonar operator clearly hear where i was :D to make a point. A torpedo hitting the ship directly underneath the bridge finished it off with a huge explosion. After some pursuit i again made contact with the coastal tanker but since the weather became worse and the deckgun couldn't be used the last torpedo was used to sank her.

Although i know times will become much more difficult for U-94 i've enjoyed the heck out of these first patrols

Very nice, U35 claimed her first tanker yesterday in Loch Ewe, after sneaking past the two Armed Trawlers (who kept dropping charges in front and behind but thankfully never on) and crawling actually into the harbour, which totally flummoxed the trawlers who proceeded to collide with the harbour walls. I think Herr Bernard has defected to the Royal Navy!!

With the harbour protection gone, and the only other Armed Trawler stalled in port with its searchlight swinging around but unable to pursue. U-35 was able to sink a Medium Merchant and a Medium Tanker at leisure before cruising back out of Loch Ewe and back over Scapa to Wilhelmshaven.
