Valerie came down with the whole family to Albuquerque for a book-signing today so I went, bought a book and got her George Smiley on it. Here are a few pics:

Here are she and I. She's very open and friendly. she laughed when I compared her book to Marks and Marchetti's book, "The CIA and The Cult of Intelligence.

Here's Ambassador Joe Wilson and I. He liked my idea of plastering the streets of Taos with a War Criminal neighborhood advisory on Don Rumsfeld(Rummy had a place there) like the sex offender neighborhood advisories.

Here's another when Santa Barbara, Ca.-born Joe Wilson found out your intrepid correspondant was born 30 miles south of him in Ventura.

Them's the ones, Sparky. Give that man a cigar. Pretty cool, huh? They live in Santa Fe, these days, about 2 hours drive north of me. We all lobbied them to run for office in NM. Joe for Dominici's senate seat and Val for Heather Wilson's congressional district but they demurred wanting to finally have some relaxation time after the Hell those traitors in the Vice-President's office put them through.

I'll clearly have to do some reading up on that incident, i thought that the issue there was the reporter, i didnt know they were put through any sort of troubles...

The Wilson's had their own political agenda as well. Don't trust them any more then I could throw them. The most amazing thing to me still is the fact that A) she was not covert and B) The guy who did tell the reporter about her (Richard Armitage) was not the guy who ended up getting in trouble even though prosecutor Fitzgerald knew this he still went after Libby.

:-?

Libby was found guilty of obstructing the investigation, not leaking the information.
