Its mid '44 and didn't get down fast enough to dodge an onrushing destroyer. Took some pretty solid hits - not fatal, but a fair amount of damage.

Well I got out of there and managed to clean most of it up except for the transmission in the engine room. It is still illuminated in red with a "1" that comes up when the mouse arrow touches the red bar to its right indicating damage.

Can't seem to repair it and now the sub won't turn - can't get it to set a new course. Am I stuck and have to start over?

Full red box with a 1 ... indicated completely destroyed system. Sorry. Yer career is over.

Get the Damage Control App. , it will tell you this and a bunch of other things .

I can confirm "1" = 100% unrepairable (damage bar filled to top.)

Well what is so "bad"? Real subs had stuff wrecked that had to wait til a return to drydock.

yeah...but in the game as it is now with a jammed ahead rudder, the drydock has to be in a 100% straight line from where ever you are at the moment or you'll never see the drydock. :cry:
