Cool coop with Hunter

Played 3 missions in a Coop with Hunter tonight. Scored a total of 3 kills and shot down once.

Was more fun than WoE due to going for the same goal. If anyone is interested hopefully I will be up with Hunter tomorrow so do join.

Oh I have a great track of hunter bringing his bird back to base with damage which I will post tomorrow once I have recorded it to wmv or avi.

Yup, online co-op is often way more fun than dogfighting your buddy. I've done this sort of thing quite a lot with a friend on Falcon, and that is really good fun. We'd take it in turns per mission to be the element leader, which is another good one to try, as it pushes you to do a better job than your buddy did last time, and as a consequence you start getting really good at making quick tactical decisions and your SA and formation flying improves. We had baiting and shooting as a pair on Wild Weasel anti-SAM missions down to a fine art. And you do a hell of a lot better in a dogfight with a wingman that can actually fly and defend your six properly. More than anything, it gives you an appreciation of how much work both aircraft have to do to work well cooperatively as a tactical pair, especially in not losing your leader when you are the wingman! That really makes you feel like a dumbass if you do that! 'Two, go smoke on' (i.e. where the feck are you?):rotfl:

also those moments when your buddy is in trouble you try to help him and immediatly get shot down short after you entered the action.

we are playing a Eastern online campaign (stock) which is pretty fun.
The russian LA-5 is quiet deadly , same goes for the Yaks
We're mostly are equiped with BF109's G-2 and G-6 variants

:) Just got an Idea,

I can also launch a 2nd campaign the same one. but then we play as russians (so we have IL2 Sturmoviks at our disposal :rock:) they are pretty deadly versus ground troups..but they proof to be deadly if you can get a shot at an enemy fighter.

so we can do it like this:

1 night as Germans
the next night as Russians

what you think?:hmm:

depends,

sometimes its only Fighters (1 group are JABO's)
then there is 1 IL2 group or PE-2

its like this:
-fighter interceptors (they intercept the enemy strike group)
-Fighter Escort (they mostly escort the strike group)
-Strike group (jabo/Il2/bomber)

its random plane set for each mission so.
cant tell, but the PE-2 are defintly in them.

just got back from work so
now I,m going to have diner, I will be back in about 1 hour.

I'm actually looking a bit for online campaign but cant find any that appeal to be good :hmm:

I like the one we are playing now (prokorovka is the name of the online campaign)
prokorovka lay in the south part of the kursk where the German attacked to advance.

Depends how much money you are willing to spend on a joystick. I got my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro with just roughly 30€. It has 12 buttons, twist handle for rudder, hatswitch to easily look around and the throttle stick. I'd say money well spent. ;)

I dont get the fuzz about the 200€ joysticks out there, I have no problems shooting ppl down with this. :p

for Comms, I guess you mean Communication:
get a Headset.
as a Microphone which you just put on the desk can be annoying as all the background sound (music you play on the computer or when you play IL2) so we cant hear your voice clearly.

you got decent ones for 15€.

Same here. :shifty: The LA is good plane but has very limited ammo.
