Error installing patch 1.4b

I've installed SH3 (and SH3 Commander) on my new computer (Dell Vostro 1500) and have run into a problem installing patch 1.4b. When I run the patch (file name: silent_hunter_3_dvd_1.4b_us.exe), I get the following error message:

C:\program files\ubisoft\silenthunterIII\data\menu\en_menu.tx t: unknown version

Any idea what I need to do to get the patch to install?

BTW, I had no problem patching to 1.4b on my old computer.

Try delete the en_menu.tx t

Then run again

Try delete the en_menu.txt
Then run again
I tried rolling back SH3 Commander and the update proceeded normally. I guess that I forgot to run the 1.4b patch prior to installing SH3 Commander. :-(
