Occasionally, but not every time, when the wind is blowing hard the wind noise bleeds over into all the stations, i.e., inside the sub, conning tower, map pages etc. The only way I've found to cure it is to exit to Main Menu and then re-enter the mission. Anyone found any other ways to fix this? Thanks.

I have gotten this before, but to be honest it has not happened in awhile, like you I had to exit the game and then re-load for it to goaway.

To interesting to see if there are others here with this.

Not really the same thing but I have experienced a very loud noise (almost like the release of compressed air) occasionally when I come out of TC or sometimes when I load a saved game during a mission. Never really looked for a fix because it doesn't bug me too much. I only experienced this after installing TM Light and ROW. Not sure which one it was but I think it was ROW.

I get it too sometimes. It seems to happen to me after I walk away from the system to make coffee/feed the cat/grab a snack. The longer the sim runs without me "clicking" something, the more likely it seems to happen.

Exit/Reload has also been my cure.

This happens if you press the "Windows" key to return to the desktop, and I think it happens if you ALT+TAB also. Anyhow, yes, you can return to normal by exiting to the main menu.

I have not had the exterior wind sound happen inside the sub. I also do not task switch to the desktop very often. I also get the compressed steam sound when I restore a game after a few days on patrol. My guess is it's triggered by the fatigue status of the crew which will be addressed in the next patch. I'm hoping the steam sound also goes away.

In an outside view and minimize the game then come back to it and start playing again the sound then get's carried over into all aspects of the game.

Same thing for an interior view if you minimize on an interior view and then start playing again you can then hear the interior sounds when in outside view's.

Just reload a save and it is all back to normal no need to shut down the game.

Right, I don't shut down the game--just exit to the Main Menu and restart.
