Balz is preparing to go on another quest for the fabled 200K in October 1941. He had to abort his last patrol at 153K due to destroyed periscopes. You can find him drinking away his pain at Lulu's in Lorient.

My current, but not best thus far is 473,888 tonnage. With 80% realism.
And after every patrol me and my crew go to best nightclub and get drunk hard.

No mention this was a single patrol score. :yep:

You need to set the year for this as early war you stand a better chanced than mid war. ;)

And the type of U-Boat as well.

My highest was 2,002,000 on Kpt. z. S. Heinz Freiderich Ziepel's career in a VIIC/42.

All we're getting here is totals for a carreer. The object of this thread is for 200k in ONE patrol.:88) :88) :88) :88)

A difficult goal but duable. So far, even the great Balz has not made it. Will the club ever form? Bash your heads, chaps and try :damn: :damn: :damn:

On the one or two occasions that I tried cherry-picking and/or game-saving my way to a supernatural tonnage score I found that it wasn't fun at all.

I think I managed once to top 100k without expressly attempting the feat, and it still felt kinda silly... at one point deck-gunning a massive passenger liner. I did save a screen print for the tonnage, but never bothered to announce it anywhere cuz it wasn't something I was particularly proud of achieving.

To me, a more impressive feat would be to post pictures of manually targetted torpedo impacts on ridiculously small vessels at long range. I've toyed with the idea of creating a "Squirrel Hunter" mission where you have to sink an Elco with a torpedo. For some reason though I haven't gotten around to it...

My poor little type 7 just doesn't have enough torps :nope:

But when I get my type 9...

76K was my best yet! And that was against an unescourted convoy. Holy Cow you guys are merciless!

GWX 1.03 in a type IX @90% brought me once to 140k, but that's it then ... sorry no membership from me....

.... and 90% doen't really count, does it? It's just for lazy afternoon captains but not a true warrior ;)
100% brought me once to a 70k-something but I like my external camera... to make screenies of my KABOOOMs

I'd like to see somebody get that much at 100%. Then they would actually have something to brag about.

In a single patrol i think Wilhelm Schulz managed 200k.

I think it was revealed he was using next to 0% difficulty though, as well as the gods eye for convoys, if i'm not mistaken. There was also an issue with him sinking more ships than he had torpedos, and all were biig ships which wouldnt go down with only 10 popgun rounds in them...

I have beaten 300 000 but never higher as I keep getting sent to shore.
The SH3 commander will let me go back to sea once in awhile but if I get into a hight tonnage patrol afterwards I am retired again.
So I have to keep restarting new campaigns after 5 to 7 missions.

I disagree with that. Having your Nav (Map Updates) and WO (WO Assist) do their jobs isn't really being lazy. A good cap'n has to delegate. :arrgh!:

I did do a 100+ patrol back when I was playing at 100%. Totaly luck, really. A few Lg Merch and Lg Tankers went down with 1 shot. It helped that one convoy I found was under a full wolfpack attack and I finished off a couple of ships that were already damaged.
