Texture shimmering and no sun glare

I recall reading of complaints from 8800 gtx and gts users about not getting the sun glare effect but I don't recall hearing of any fix. Is anyone using the 8800 getting sunglare? Also I have a texture shimmering problem. You can really see it along the top edge of the Porpoise "bathtub" and also on the railings. The radar masts have some shimmer that looks sort of like a barber pole. I've tried every possible combination in Nhancer with no luck. The effect goes away when you zoom up close but gets worse at a distance. Latest drivers and plenty of horsepower. Toning down aa has no effect. Any help would be appreciated.

After reading some articles on line about game testing with this card I realized I didn't tone down AA enough. I switched from super sampling to multi-sampling with 4x on the AA and got sun glare. I think the shimmer is a bit less too, although the antennna pole supports still have some stripeing at a distance. It's a start though.:hmm:
