Wow.... A destroyer rammed my sub and I suffered no damage...

And the most amazing thing is the destroyer got sunk! :doh:

I was stunned beyond words. Best part is, I suffered no damage at all.

Is this some kind of bug? Can I start ramming ships instead of torpedoing them?

heh, it's actually been like this for a long time. Ramming ships is not a good idea. If you can get a destroyer to ram your periscope he will suffer. Really blows.

I think this is one of the things being fixed in the next patch.

I sank several destroyers in SH3 this way. Nice to know some wierd naval simulation tactics never die. :-?

I can't remember what sub this story was from but in WWII one of the fleet boats sunk a merchant with its periscope. Pretty sure it totaled the scope but some how the scope tore out the bottom of this japanese merchant ship which later sunk.
