Unable to log on to multi player

Hi there from the uk
can anyone help me , as I can't log on to the multiplayer part of the game for some reason ?
I have set up the ports as requested on my router (bt home hub)
but get message from the play on ubicom screen :
CANNOT INITIALIZE THE ONLINE
I am all patched up to 1.3
3.2 amd
3.5 ram
gforce 7600
shame because its a great game , and it may just be a small thing I need to setup, and the ubisoft site is pants for help.
so I thought i'll come to the best peeps for help

I ran into this. I believe it was the UBI server issue. Once corrected then worked. Perhaps it is screwed up again?

just tried it again , still no luck , also turned off the nortons firewall,
