greetings fellow captains.

I have a question about the magnetic detonators on the torpedoes. Is it working?

i am playing latest TM with RSM3.3 and realistic wathers. I chased down a conwoy getting a great posittion ahead. after alot of troubles i got a great sollution, and plased the torpedo depth 0.5 - 1M under thee keel. but it went right under the ship, and no caboom... What have i done wrong?

further moore, what are the limmitations on the magnetic mecanism of the torpedoes. like max depth under keel and so on.

in game year is middle of `42 by the way.

sincerely

the magnetic detonator doesnt roule. you have to wait for patch 1.4, which fixes this bug.

Well er... actually they do work.

What doesent work is the switch to select modes impact/mag vs mag only.

They are set to impact/mag by default and currently cannot be changed.

What you are probably experiencing is one of two things. 1.) The magnetic triggers are notorusly unreliable and 2.) The torpedoes tend to run deeper than what you set them for so that if you set it to run a foot or two under a keel it ends up running 4 or 5 feet below.

For now stick with impact strikes youll do much better.
