The unidentified vehicle is a british "Archer" tank destroyer.
Based on the Valentine tank (Matilda and Valentine sound oh so threatening), this tank destroyer had its 17 pdr gun mounted rearwards, so the vehicle was parked backwards on the photo.
It could only fire rearwards, but not while being pursued as the breech block would have decapitated the driver while recoiling if he were seated.
The Archer features quite high on my "10 most pointless WW2 weapons" list.

Nice pictures - I hope I get to visit a museum with a collection like this someday.
Some one tell them to shut the rear landing gear doors on the B25!
They shouldn't be open when the plane is on the ground. ;)

The german secert weapon tank in a french Renault FT 17. The Australian War memorial has one in it's collection.
They date from WW1, but were still in use at the begining of WW2. The Germans captured over 1,000 of them when they took france. They used them for airfield defence. There greatest weakness was the drive wheel for the tank treads, not only was it large, but it was made of Wood!

Reminds me of the days when I was living in Holland (Dordrecht)....Rememberance Day and every grave was tended by a separate schoolchild for the day....very moving experience

And I thought the Germans didn't like to kamikaze.
