Ditto - I miss it too. I played this and 3D later on. I only wish for an updated Red Baron 3D 2.

Yeah, 3D was great. I loved the music in the game.

Red Baron 3D wasn't so bad when patched up with the Hell's Angels Superpatch.
I flew with Jagdstaffel 5 for two years online before coming to Subsim.
I miss it alot at times.
Heck, my old unit is still active and my old wingman "Mai" is now the XO. Great guy.

I am a huge RB3d fan myself. Playing with Full Canvas Jacket is quite an experience. The only thing I don't like is the turnover within your squadron - in one of my campaigns we suffered at least a 200% casualty rate before the war was over and none of my original squad mates survived. I always kept track of the original AI pilots, and there was something sad about seeing more and more new names on the roster as the months passed. Oh well; I suppose that IS how things were back then. :nope:
I had an excellent campaign playing as a Frenchman in the Flanders sector. He had extraordinary luck. No matter what crazy situation came up, he just never got killed. The career is still on my hard drive (50 victories, most of the war over) but it's been halted for now. At the moment SH3 modding takes up all my computer time.
