Shot taken with tweaked ship textures and a sea improvement mod made by CB.
@Chock
Stands and applauds :up: Superb piece of creativity.
Hmmmm .... I wonder ? Are you up for a series ? Are you ready to bring this forgotten era to its new audience ?
I'd like to set up a sticky like a kind of on-the-fly, on-line "publishing house" with your stories as the front runner. If others follow with their own threads then I'll create an index on the sticky linking to their threads.

PS - for those who don't have the game though, I should say - don't let the shots fool you, the game is not, I repeat NOT pretty. The models are nice but there's little chance to see them with a proper external camera missing, a lot of graphical features are really quite outdated, and visuals are often quite jerky - nothing on those smooth rolling ships in SHIV.
But again, not without its charm and certainly adequate for the purpose. Not a game where you'll spend hours gazing at the sea though like in the last two SH titles. I'm still VERY happy with it though.

But the more I see of it - the more I think one of these WWI U-boats ought to join the Russian and American subs in Hunt for Red Hot Coders and their attack on Ubi. :cool:

Hi
If you want a preview of the subs (and others)There's a ship ID in PDF format at this link http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=135105 :D
The 5th ship that was sunk by Leutnant zur See Wagner:

And the final moments of the ship:

Doesn't look like there is a video thread here so I'll post this with the screenies...

I had successfully torpedoed a battlecruiser, but was stuck under a destroyer until the battery charge was almost gone. Since you only live once, I decided to surface and try a daring gun attack. Caught them so by surprise that my gun crew badly mauled them before they noticed and fired back. This shot is the first instant of that.
My next shot sank them - the one you see flying my way crippled my deck gun but I got under again before anything worse happened.
