I disagree with some of your ideas and philosophies, and some of the answers, but we have similar feelings on where we come from. I saw this in a theater today and thought you might like it.

Oh! I say! 3 doors down, very good music!

I won't comment on the video. ;)

That's very much better than the UK's military recruiting campaigns, which are generally awful.

Even the one where a sonar operator says

"But sometimes I just turn it off and on again."

That's commonly known on boats as a 'Ferranti Reset', after it featured as an early step in one of their equipment troubleshooting guides (or so I was told 15 years ago).

I may be wrong, but that's not even the power switch he turns off and on, it's the anti-condensation heater switch ;)

Well, to be honest, anything beats flags waving in slow motion, excessive lense flare and infants being picked up.

Its one long cliche.

Not a bad video. The message is there. Strength is something that must continue and feel good about.

I must admit Sailor Steve, I agree with 98% of your ideals. As long as we all exist, and there are many of us that value those ideals, we need not worry for our children. I do see trying times ahead though, that is for sure.

Just my 2 cents.

Wow, sorry to break the chain here, but... that video sucked. The National Guard didn't storm the beaches at Normandy, nor did they fight in the revolutionary war. Hell, the national guard hadn't even been formed by that time.

Stupid video, I thought.

I take it back, my ignorance on the subject clouded my judgement.

Apology accepted. My friend, who served in the National Guard, gave my a copy of the Guard magazine, which had an article about the ANG contributions at D-Day.:yep:
