About 4 minutes ago, I was playing an SP mission. Got to going along in the XXI when all of a sudden my speed goes up to 100 KNOTS and my depth goes to 1002 METERS. I was like, "WTF JUST HAPPENED?!". My depth increased, and I leveled out at 502 meters. Couldn't get up, so I died.:cry:
Freakiest glitch ever. Ironically, I was heading through the Bermuda Triangle at the time.
EDIT: Just noticed that my watchmen were still on the bridge at 317 meters.

Ever watched the Discovery Channel's take on the Bermuda Triangle? Methane gas pockets was one of their explanations for what 'could have' made a US Navy flight go down, perhaps you hit something similar underwater, maybe a UFO? :rotfl:

Why does your screenshot say that your in a Type VIIB1 XXI sub? Part of the glitch or are you modding something? I'm thinking you altered the Basic.cfg or one of the sub files and it caused the glitch.

I'm using GWX 1.4 and I don't know the first thing about modding (besides that it's hard). Haven't changed anything in it. It's always been that way for some reason.
Either way, I had a 99% Hull Integrity rate on it at a depth of 314 meters.

I'm assuming you mean 1.3. Your one lucky devil if your playing 1.4 already. But yeah, I'm thinking you might need to do a reinstall. I'm thinking some of the files got moved around and crossed, and that's why your getting the glitch. Either that or you are playing GWX 1.4 and they included a brand new uboat for us:rotfl:

The reason it shows Type VIIB1 Type XXI is the mission was written for a VIIB
If he had chosen a VIIB the screen would show Type VIIB1 Type VIIB

It's not a rumor. Someone ported the Flying Dutchman from SH IV for SH III. I have it and the instructions for installing it. I forgot who did it or where I got it from, but I have it and the installation instructions here. I've been too busy to install it though. It's not in any kind of "easy" JSGME mod form. You have to copy a bunch of files out of a RAR file, and then manually edit a bunch of config files but it's not too hard to put in.

Heh, my sub was a secret weapon of the Reich.
It plays freaky carnival music when it sails and everyone dances (Bernard pole dances).
