Authorities believe that many of the historically devastating fires in Southern California are the results of Arson. There are 16 fires ranging between the border with Mexico and North of Los Angeles. Large rewards are being offered for any information about the arsonists.
So far, authorities have arrested about five people.
Of those 5, 2 are connected to immigration issues and are possibly illegal aliens or representative of an immigration law failure.
ALIPAC has confirmed that Immigration and Customs has an Immigration Hold on the prisoner named Gorgonio Nava. Nava had prior convictions on drug charges.
Gorgonio Nava was arrested with a juvenile and charged with Arson in Vista, CA. Nava is currently being held in the Vista Detention Facility.
Since ICE has a hold on him, he is either an illegal alien or a non-citizen visa holder that faces revocation of his visa!
Another suspect arrested and charged with arson is a 41-year-old man named Catalino Pineda, who is a day laborer from Sun Valley. He is currently in the Los Angeles County Jail, where he was being held on an arson charge and bail was set at $75,000.
Catalino Pineda is being called a "native of Guatemala", by the police and the Los Angeles Daily News, and "He is currently on probation for making excessive false emergency reports to law enforcement, police said"
Homeland Security has just contacted us and say that "Catalino was legally in the country at the time of his arrest for arson."
What we want to know now is did Homeland security not revoke his visa or deport after he was convicted for prior crimes? Homeland security is saying his prior crimes are misdemeanors.
Pineda is most likely a visa holder that should have been deported after his first serious crime, unless he has Temporary Protective Status (TPS) or the paper is in error.
We also know that the Washington Times and other news sources reported illegal alien and drug smugglers have been setting intentional fires on the border, to distract Border Patrol and our security forces.

One of the big fires in CA started on the border, but we have no information at this time to implicate drug and human smugglers.

Illegal immigrants suspected of stealing supplies
Posted @ 4:27 PM
Six illegal immigrants who were suspected of stealing relief supplies from Qualcomm Stadium were arrested by Border Patrol agents after San Diego police stopped them Wednesday morning.
A woman who had been evacuated to the stadium told officers she saw the group load up two pickup trucks and a car with cots and other supplies, leave and then return, said police Sgt. Jesse Cesena.
When officers stopped them, a member of the group said they were being paid to take things of value from the stadium.
"They were stealing a lot of stuff," Cesena said. "We took the stuff back and we escorted them out. They were stealing from the people in need."
Because some members of the group spoke Spanish, officers called Border Patrol agents at the stadium for relief efforts. They determined the people were in the country illegally and arrested them.
The Border Patrol agents are among 100 that the federal agency has been providing for relief efforts, said agency spokesman Matthew Johnson. He said the agents are not looking for illegal immigrants among people seeking refuge at the stadium.
"We're not out there doing immigration stuff in the middle of a disaster," he said. "However, we still enforce the laws."

Woodland HILLS - As wildfires ripped through Southern California, a 41-year-old Sun Valley man was arrested on suspicion of arson after quick-thinking Woodland Hills residents allegedly saw him lighting a fire and called 911, police said this morning.
Woodland Hills residents saw a man lighting a fire then walking away about 4:30 yesterday on a hillside near Del Valle Street and Ponce Avenue. After calling police, the residents followed him to a restaurant and waited for police to arrive.
Police booked Catalino Pineda, a day laborer from Sun Valley, into the Los Angeles County Jail where he was being held on an arson charge. Bail was set at $75,000.
Pineda is a native of Guatemala. He is currently on probation for making excessive false emergency reports to law enforcement, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call West Valley Area detectives at (818) 374-7730. On weekends and after hours call the 24-hour Detective Information Desk at 1-877-LAW-FULL (529-3855).

I think most sensible people realize the problem. The main issue is our government won't do a darn thing about it because the Democrats want the illegals to have amnesty for votes and Bush and some of his RHINOs on this issue want them to be a part of Mexamericanada.

Some call it trolling for votes. The left looks at the human cost and the right looks at the business cost. Either way we need to stop the flow of illegal immigration at all cost, or this country will be third world.

Discount 'Migrant Air' flying legal, illegal immigrants to U.S. border
MEXICALI, Mexico - Among travelers, it's jokingly known as Aeromigrante - Migrant Air.
New discount airlines in Mexico are doing a brisk business shuttling migrants to the U.S. border, turning what was once a dayslong trek into an easy hop for legions of workers, both legal and illegal.
"It's much more comfortable than the bus, and about the same price," said Leopoldo Torres, 37, of Mexico City as he stretched his legs aboard Volaris Flight 190 to the border city of Mexicali.
He and a traveling companion, Julio Menéndez, paid $118 each for the three-hour flight. They planned to cross into the United States illegally through the California desert.
Such migrants have become bread-and-butter customers for airlines Volaris, Avolar, Alma, Viva Aerobus, Interjet and Click, all of which have started up in the last two years. Older carriers such as Aero California and Aviacsa have cut their prices to compete.
"The most productive routes we have are cities where you have those passengers who are traveling with the idea of the American dream," said Luis Ceceña, a spokesman for Avolar. About 70 percent of Avolar's passengers are migrants, he said.
For some airlines such as Avolar, the emphasis on migrant travel was a conscious decision, with company officials structuring their routes and fares around migrants' needs, he said. For others, it was simply a side effect of low prices, which have opened up air travel to millions of poor Mexicans.
The airlines say they treat migrants like any other passengers. The Mexican government has promised to try to slow emigration by creating jobs in Mexico. But by law, Mexican authorities and companies cannot impede the free travel of their fellow citizens, even if they suspect that they are going to cross the U.S. border illegally.:nope::nope:

I heard an interesting story a while back that an illegal was given a job in which he makes $200,000 a year. He had no experience in business, no training in math, and no education whatsoever (also, he couldn't speak English). The guy they fired was a 24-year veteran of the place, spoke 2 different languages, and had a Masters degree in business (he was also an "A" student in CALCULUS).
What's this world coming to?

Until the Florida debate I hadn't heard Ron Paul opine on anything. He made some good points, and I liked his take on healthcare, too, but overall I thought he came across as too isolationist. I don't think it's ever a good idea to stick our foreign policy head in the sand - to focus on domestic issues ("get back to the roots of Republican beliefs," as he put it) to the extent that we exclude all else.
Just my 2c.

and also i would just smirk while mexico protests the "inhumane" order of mining the border and putting up electric fencing... well whats more inhumane.. bringing down an entire nation economically, inducing crime, violence, bringing in diseases from south america that never existed in the U.S??? or simply scaring the living daylights out of all immigrants when 3-5 step on a mine and kaboom.. thus curbing the illegal immigration....:hmm:

Sorry had to change the font size, that sounds really stupid to me...and probably fake. Unless the company wants to go out of business by hiring incompetent unqualified people. We're not talking lettuce pickers here. Do you have a real source for that story?

To be honest, the Mexicans cant really do alot if you stick the mines on declared US turf. You cant really call it inhumane, they aint supposed to be vaulting and legging it across the border anyway, heh
