This particular machine has 1 GB on board too.

PS. I forgot to mention that I only had Outlook open on this machine at the given moment.

:shifty: It's funny, when I go to the computer stores and tell them I want a new computer w/o vista, they proclaim how great it is.

Well sure... If they're like the Best Buy Geek Squad, you'll be spending more $$$ on having them come out on a regular basis and showing you over and over and over and...

Simple question, simple answer:

NO!

Yep - apparently with email even closed, I can run the recording portion of this software since it can't allocate enough free ram ON A 1 GB MACHINE! Crud. Everything closed, and what the hell is eating up 60% of the RAM on a 1 GB machine? Like, what the hell is it doing? Ughhh!

I think Visual Basic should be banned from the face of the Earth, along with it's bloated libraries. It's software for programmers that have no brains to program in something more efficient, like C or even Assembly!!!! It just ends up being bloated code compiled with massive libraries.

I watched a speed test the other day of a first generation Mac outrunning modern day PC's for common every day tasks! That is pretty sad. This is what you get with VB. Nice. Welcome to modern day programming.

Would be funny to compose a "best-of" of their sing-song "buy my sh&$".

If we had an archive (we haven't, have we?) of green tooth paste, ugly cars, or plain useless *whatever* I would like to compare that blablabubudada speech of them ... just for the fun of it

Don't you just love Vista?

No, I don't.

I had to buy it, because I train people on computers, so I needed to have experience with it, and now I have experience with it, I fecking hate it.

I admit it runs FSX a bit better than XP, but that hardly warrants changing the OS on my main desktop, so that's still got XP on it, and is likely to stay that way.

I herd of the next windows too. If you wasnt to know what it will look like, just look at the soon to be replaced Mac OSX, but it will take longer to load, require more memory and have a ghraphics card that has yet to be designed or thought about!

You might see it in 5 years!

Vista aint XP, 1gb aint enough mate! 2gigs or more, 3 is better. Vista uses 800mb when its idle so no wonder you got that error. Im running 2gigs with vista never had a memory error, and im running that SIDEBAR!:rotfl:with radio gadget blarring away, playing world of warcraft in window mode, got firefox browser sitting on the taskbar so i can take a break and head to subsim. Vista runs Smooth as a babys bottom. :yep:

Supposedly called vienna, or venice. Something like that anyway.
Rumors I've seen indicate a 2009 release.

I'll believe it when I see it though.

But..But..But.. you can flip the folders over each other!!

:p

You are correct. I downloaded a Vista conversion for XP (basically gave all the swishy things of Vista to XP) and it ran like a drunk tortoise, so sod the lot of it. :88)
