Patrols.
Without music, they're pretty damn boring. So, I'm inquiring as to what you listen to during those voyages. Feel free to post YouTube videos, links to downloads of music, etc.
As for me:

I listen to my "Kriegsmarine U-boat Records mod" (located in the Drive Through). It contains 40 records & features all the well known music from the movie Das Boot including the best version of "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" performed by the Russian Red Army choir. Each record has a authentic gramophone sound at the start & end of each record track. This mod allows your U-boat officers/sailors approximately 1 hour 46 minutes of morale time.
The Red Army Choir has the best "It's a long way tipperary song".. you must be joking..
John McCormack or Albert Farrington-versions are much better :)
I have some from my own collection (Marlene Dietrich - Lili Marleen etc.) plus an old soundmod with many classics.

I just meant it's a little too modern music for a German u-boat music collection = :o
But I find it a little funny too that someone uses it, so = :rotfl:

Pink Floyd;)
I tried the gramophone but it just ain't my cup of tea, even adding in the musical mods. Nothing like a good doobie, echoes playing in the backround while trying to evade DC's lol

Das Boot

Loads of film tracks (King arthur, Hunt For Red October, Crimson Tide) etc. etc. etc.

Like Jimbuna and Nippelspanner, I too, prefer oldies and such playing on my boat's gramophone. ;) Anything that doesn't conflict with the game's immersion.
Also I have modified the standard GWX in-game music settings and added/modified some choice of tracks while kept some unchanged.

@Nippelspanner
The GWX main theme was wrongly titled in the past. The version at load up of the mod is actually entitled 'Hanging'
The track entitled 'Escape' is a little more up tempo and accompanied with drums.
Just FYI sir..........

@ Fenris Wolf
The aria is Puccini's "O mio babbino caro" from the opera "Gianni Schicchi".
I think it's Charlotte Church's performance.
If you like some opera stuff aboard try "Ebben? Ne Andro Lontana" (Catalani/La Wally) and "Nessun Dorma" (Puccini/Turandot) - they'll give you the creeps...
I prefer the Katherine Jenkins versions.
There's an aria composed by Patrick Cassidy for the movie "Hannibal" called "Vide Cor Meum" - excellent (original) performance by Danielle De Niese and Bruno Lazzaretti.
Guiseppe Verdi/LaTraviata - Prelude
Richard Wagner/Lohengrin - Prelude (1.Act!!)
Have fun with some classical stuff gents...

Hey Jim,
yeah thats possible. As I found the track I wasnt sure about the correct name because some called it escape, some not. But I know that this song is a kind of remix from a song called Escape thats on the Romeo and Juliet Soundtrack (the one with Claire Danes+Leo di Caprio)
Because I wasnt sure, I called it "GWX - Main Theme" this time :arrgh!:

I believe it's from a film entitled Plunkett and MacLeane and the composer is Craig Armstrong
