View Full Version : [Help] Bizarre SH3 Career problem.

I've seen a few weird things but this just takes the biscuit! For some unknown reason Sh3 wont let me start a career mission from anywhere but off the coast of West Africa.

I go through the office all the usual stuff but then instead of me starting off in port it puts me in the middle of the ocean off the west African coast! I even tried a clean install but it keeps doing this. :damn:

Can anyone help with this I know its wierd one I haven't got a clue why this is happening.

Yepp just like I thought. Bernard found a new island :shifty: there and made it a u-boat base for operations. :roll: i really do not know what do do anyway. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Delete the SH3 folder in C: My Documents. It holds your career information including the starting location for your u-boat. When you start the sim again, a new folder will be created.

Just noticed some of the ships are missing their turrets too now. This is all I need.

Has anyone encountered similar effects?

This is a stock SHIII bug which puts your starting position at 0 degrees lat and long.

If you go back to an older save you should be OK. Failing that you may have a conflict in your config somewhere and you may need to delete the SHIII folder from your My Documents folder.

Sounds like you have a conflict with a mod you have loaded. What mods are you using and what order are they loaded?

It was this little bugger here:

Racerboy_Enemy_AI_StarShell_test

must have been causing a conflict somewhere, was the first thing I tried removing and it went back to normal, Lorient sub pens as it should be!

Thanks for the help that had me really scratching my head very strange bug.:up:
