So, being a poor college student and limited in my ability to have technology, I play SH3 on my laptop. While the game play is still the same (as good as it can be on a laptop) the graphics are extremely limited when I'm out on the deck.
The lookouts don't have binoculars in their hands, they just hold them up to their eyes, the water has no texture, other than being there, waves crash up on to the ship during storms, but other than that the water doesn't move much. At night the water appears white, as if it were snow. The ships appear as they do in everyone's screenshots (which are amazing, makes me jealous at what you guys get to see in the game and what I see) but nothing else on the surface looks much the same.
I guess what I'm looking for is someone's advice on the best possible remedy to my graphics situation (short of an actual gaming computer). Are there settings I can turn down somewhere or something I can adjust to give the game a little bit of the visual justice it truly deserves?
