Strange Crew

What in the heck. My conning officer stares at me like he wants to kill me sometimes. Its like he's just keeping his head straight and his eyes to the left. Could it be vise versa? Does he think I'm gonna shank him or somethin if he looks around a bit? Or hell, maybe if he actually took a look at the freakin map instead of looking at me like I was a freakin steak we wouldn't have ran aground! I can't do everything! Also, why does the helmsman even bother to adjust the EOT? It changes before he can even put his hand on the damn thing. Just Leave it alone man! I know your trying, but damn.
One of the radar watches I have sounds like joan rivers trying to sing La Donna E Mobile after smoking 2 cartons of cigarettes when reporting contacts. It's just so damn annoying:damn: . I went and put a high ablility 3rd class from the DC crew as my conning officer in the place of that googley eyed dude, that'll teach em! This one doesn't stare like the other one did. In recent progress I guess my radarman finally went through puberty because there is a much better voice coming from up the ladder than before thank goodness.

Anyone else have funky crew? Post about your strange crew. Can anyone tell me how to capture pictures also? Thanks all

you should take a look at the crew of the Jap ships. Most of the merchants are walking around in suit coats and ties and look vaguely Italian. And one I saw (wish I'd taken a snap) scared me to death. Imagine Fred Flintstone with a 5 o'clock shadow and wearing a DRESS! And the pilots look like Russians. Someone was really confused when they selected the models for the crew.

How do you take the snap shots, or screenshots? And what folder do I find them in. I wish I had taken some of the stuff I have seen before, I just hit print screen quick and hoped it was the right key. How do you take them?

Is that how those damn merchants can keep running around beat to hell sometimes? Flinstone underwater foot power. They certainly do. I don't believe I've seen one that even looks vaguely Japanese and the business suits are just too funny to not laugh at. If I knew a little more about skinning 3D objects, I would certainly take a shot at making some changes. Unfortunately, I know just enough about the subject to be able to create a "George Jetson" lookalike. Maybe someday.......

The game has a snapshot button (F11, I believe) and I'm pretty sure the snaps are stored somewhere in the save games folder (usually My Documents\SH4). Personally, I use Hoversnap (available for free at http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm ) for screenshots.

Easiest way in-game is just Ctrl-F11. Works while paused too, so you can compose your shots. The images show up in your main SH4 directory as .bmp files. Happy snapping!

Meanwhile I think I'm going to have to try to find this Flintstone in a dress....:p

Better watch out for your guns, that witch will try take them away from ya. The only good to come out of her is if you are getting water logged, she's very bouyant, so be sure to catch her fast, and use her to keep your boat a floatin. After she's water logged and of no use, so you think, there's plenty of blubber to go around to make cologne and soap for everyone when we hit port to smell good for the ladies:D .

You ain't seen nothing yet! Wait until their eyeballs disappear all together, then you know you're on the voyage of the damned. And that dude that stands atop one of the wheels, while his head sticks through the cabin, that's a real sight. I remember that was one of first discoveries with this game. It certainly confirmed for me that the devs really took the time to polish the game before they published it and started to laugh all the way to the bank.

Hahaha, I have seen the eyeballs disapear too. It was helpful though when that damn conning officer would be staring and his eyes were gone. I told him so.

So they all said on the map, and by the way, they do think you are really wierd. So Schmitty went ahead and took your eyes out and glued them to the map, all your really good for is repeating what I say, but just yelling a lot, which you are doing a fine job at as we speak.
