Passengers charged with killing crew of Joe Cool (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/miami/sfl-flbmurder1011nboct11,0,5701957.story?track=rss).
Motive, anyone?

Interesting case.
Archer and Zarabozo "were calm, stoic, and failed to make eye contact with their rescuers" after they were picked up, according to a Coast Guard affidavit.
I believe this is a symptom common in people who have experienced shock. Also, as far as motive goes, I cant see a glaring one. However, it may have had something to do with a history with the captain or crew? Could they have been involved in something criminal?
I need more evidence before offering an opinion.

Pretty simple, one was wanted for stealing a lot of money. The other dude was wanted for something. They were headed to Cuba. One of the two had spent time in Cuba. My guess is they told the crew to take them to Cuba to which they declined. OK, overboard they go. Now, can't show up in Cuba with this boat. Make up a story about pirates and being sent off on a raft. OK fine, how do you explain all their belongs that were also on the raft? Hmmm, I do not suspect pirates that kill would be so kind as to give these two their belongs and say 'bon voyage'. Cuba does not extradite to the US. So, these two killers, if Cuba is made by raft, will be protected. These two are guilty as hell. Motive....running from the law in the US.

Wasn´t there an episode of "CSI-Miami" with almost the same storie?
Maybe they needed the boat for an drug transport.
