Hello all

My name is Chris,i'm 38 years old and live in the netherlands,i played subsims in the past like Red storm rising and Silent Service on the old Commo 64,lately i got interested in subsims again and play Silent hunter3,i like it alot but miss the tension from Red storm rising(3 or more ships actively seeking you and heli's dropping torpedoes,those were the days!)To be honest i was allways interested in U-boats more then any other subs,because they set the mark for the future generations..

I discovered this site a couple of days ago,i wasnt aware there were so many enthousiasts like me,so i'm pretty delighted!

Just wanted to say hi and that i read alot of posts,there are really great ones with good tips.

And by the way, sounds like you could use a copy of Dangerous Waters witht the LWAMI 3.08 mod. It has all those aspects that you miss from Red Storm Rising.

I've been playing the Grey wolves mod for a week or so now,but i got some problems.....

1)Multiplayer does not work i crash to desktop
2)saved games go crazy,for instance the pq17 mission,when i reload the ships go everywhere and the ships i sunk are all back,destryable but i dont get the credits...
3)had some ctd's in career mode....
4)Cant host a game,all players logged into my server get ctd's...

2gig mem
ge-force 8800 gts 640 mb

You could try following these instructions (I've never tried this on Visata Mind)

1. Uninstall SH3 via Windows' "Add/Remove programs"
2. Open Windows Explorer and:
- *delete* the folder where you had installed SH3
- *delete* the \My Documents\SH3 folder
3. Reinstall SH3
4. If your SH3 did not come with patch v1.4b already included, install patch v1.4b. Ensure you install the patch that corresponds to your copy of SH3 (Download/DVD/EMEA/US)
5. OPTIONAL: Copy and paste this "clean" install as a backup to avoid the need to follow steps 1-3 if your game becomes corrupt in future
6.Download into the SAME folder GWX.exe and the five .bin files. While there grab the v1.03 patch
7. Run GWX.exe and follow the installation prompts
8. Run GWX103.exe and follow the installation prompts
9. SH3 COMMANDER USERS: Download the GWX 1.02+ Cfg files for SH3 Commander and unzip the contents DIRECTLY into your SH3 Commander\Cfg folder.

Also note you can only host/join a multiplayer match if others have the GWX mod as well.
