Hi guys,

I've been playing SH3 since the day it was released, always had a lot of fun with it.
It went even better since GWX was available.

I did'nt step over to SH4 because my PC was too old for that.
But now it's almost time!
I've ordered my new PC :D and found a shop where they still have SH4 (seems not so obvious, some stores told me that it isn't available anymore...)
So maybe next week i finally can play SH4, i'm very curious!

Here's my question:

What patches, mod's or other stuff should i really have to get?

Thanks already for the advice and apologies if the question has been answered a thousand other times...

Regards,

Patch it to 1.3 and check out Trigger Maru 1.6 and the Reflections On The Water mod from LEOVAMPIRE. More than that depends on patch 1.4 which is due to be released very soon.

Also, it may be a good idea to play stock for a bit, patched of course to 1.3. This will give you an idea on what you like, what you may want to change. Check out the stickies for training guides, etc.

Also, both mods that TDK mentioned are great ones :yep:

In what time frame do you define, "soon"?

None....its a Neil Stevens trademark *runs for cover*

I still find SH3/GWX to be an excellent game regardless of what happens to SH4. It will always have a place on my hard drive and it amazes me even now with SH4 hitting its stride at last. These games do not compete in any way except for time. They are quite different and have different lessons to teach about submarine capabilities.

SH4 is great....finally!

But..."what RR said" holds a lot of cold Atlantic water!
