A B-25 plane in front of you and one behind you on a runway shorter than a football field, plus the plane was heavy loaded with fuel and bombs on a mission to bomb Tokyo, just a few short months after they bombed Pearl Harbor
That must have made the air hole in back tighten up a bit.
