yes, that cult object of the 80s is back. 12 seconds, that is the current worldrecord to arrange all levels of the 3 level cube. they also competed in categories like "blind play" (solving it by memory only), and "feet".
Tone is in german, but just watch the pictures! Breaks your fingers from just looking.

Actually, once you learned the basic mechanism by which to change to pieces, all you do is using these routines and go on autopilot by that - that's when I became bored by it. I guess the trick is to find faster routines, and run several of them at the same time, so to speak, and think several pieces-changings in advance. I can solve the cube, but alwqays with the same set of half a dozen routines, which takes me abiout ten minutes or so. And since this is repetitive, it is not interesting. I am not clever enough to calculate and invent new, faster routines.

Change two pieces. :)
Like a few other people I can solve it in one second, with a hammer.

The Rubrik cube caused more bloody wars in the school yard than anything else had in the history of the school yard. :yep: ;)

Yes, but I cannot estimate how many psychotherapists it saved their income.
My personal best is just under 1 min. But that was 2 years ago.
This guy however is a good friend of mine. He currently holds the official Norwegian record of 18 secs. I've seen him done it faster though. In this video he solves it blindfolded, and trust me he does!

I solved it in 10 minutes last week! First I ran over it with the car and then I glued it back together! Problem solved

You coulkd easily refix it to default settings by turning one layer by 45° and then brake out the middle piece. that way, the other parts can be taken out and rearranged easily without damaging the thing.
