Not to mention South Africans. They have moved over in their thousands, the media refer to it as "the brain drain" and "packing for Perth" has become a part of SA vocabulary. Such as, "If the crime rate gets anyworse I'm packing for Perth":D

I tell ya what. It is actually very tough living over here in Aus. It's not as nice as the sun sea sand image portrayed in the ads so my advice to anyone thinking of coming over to stay is to stay right where you are.

That way we Aussies might stand a chance with those 1010 good reasons.:rotfl:

Mind you I married a pom, so bugger it come on over, lets have a beer and see if you can score one of those reasons for yourself.

I've been around the world due to my job, seen alot of bad things, things that would boggle your mind, don't need to be mentioned here. I think......I know that us Australians take the things we have here for granted.

I see it every bloody day in this country :nope: & I was born & bread here.

Australia....it seems like it's expressly designed to kil humans :)
Also the whole country is located approximately 2 miles from the surface of the sun :D

No joke, I almost moved there as a kid (for my dad's job) to Alice Springs. When I saw where Alice Springs was located on the map, I wasn't so excited. But with all those nasty critters there, I don't think I'm missing anything. Maybe I'll go to New Zealand, the worst thing they have there are Hobbits. They're harmliss aren't they:cool: .

Thre of them are coastal or sea dwelling creatures, the Jellyfish is seasonal, the octopus is only dangerous if you stick your hand or foot into them, and the chance of you being taken by a great white is smaller than being hi by lightning!:yep:

The Sydney Funnel web has that name because that's where it is located ( it habitat is cosatal NSW with Sydney as it's centerpoint.

Alice Springs you would have been safe from all four. Just watch out for the dingo's, they moved on from eating babies. They prefer American tourist, More fat, Less fight!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've lived in taht very dangerous town, the epicentre of sheer terror that is Sydney for most of my 43 years and have never seen any of the deadly animals in the wild with the exception of the octopus which I saw once in a rock pool whilst visiting Gunamatta bay near Cronulla. I've been a keen hiker and camper for most of that time and have only seen 2 deadly snakes in all that time. Never been bitten by anything more ferocious than a mosquito and have never felt really in danger from the wildlife here.

As long as you take the proper precautions nothing is likely to make a meal of you:
